A detailed review of the MeUndies Pouch Front Thong

Honestly, the MeUndies Pouch Front Thong is great. That’s basically the quick version of this review. However, I have more nuanced opinions so feel free to read on and get a more detailed review of this particular brand and style of men’s thong underwear.

MeUndies Pouch Front Thong Review

To start, I have been receiving a good amount of paid media placement from MeUndies for a long time in my Facebook and Instagram feeds. They clearly saw me as a potential customer, probably because I spend so freaking much money on underwear. But for years, the cost of my clicks was wasted because they didn’t offer any men’s underwear that interested me.

That is, until they added their thong. I bought a pair but couldn’t get it included in their monthly membership program, which was annoying until they finally added the thong. Then I jumped all in. I joined their membership and had a thong sent to me every month, which was great until it wasn’t. I like their underwear, but I also like variety in styles, and currently, they only offer one style. Many colors and patterns but just one style.

My other gripe was that if I wanted to buy a matching pair of undies with the same color or pattern for my wife, I couldn’t select the pouch front thong in the checkout. It felt like the men’s thong was an afterthought in their offering, which made me feel like I wasn’t included in their views on what kind of underwear couples can wear together.

All that said here is what I like and don’t like about the MeUndies Pouch Front Thong for men:

What I Like

The MeUndies Pouch Front Thong is a pretty standard issue thong. I like the general aesthetic of the cut and the style they’ve put together for the underwear. I also really enjoy the massive amount of colors and patterns to choose from. They are constantly releasing new choices with the seasons and that is fun and interesting and engaging to be sure.

The quality of the fabric is also nice. It is a cotton blend so it is very soft and comfortable to wear. It breathes well and for all-day wear is a great mix of support, comfort, and appearance. The fabric is also very light and thin so from a weight perspective they are very light. The front pouch is double-lined so they are a bit more supportive in the pouch than they otherwise would be which I very much like.

I also really like the elastic waistband. It gives the thong an athletic look but it is also very utilitarian. It stays put which is great. Whether I am walking the dog, sitting at my desk, or running and working out the elastic band stays put so the fit and feel of the thong are very consistent. This also means they melt away when being worn and that’s my favorite thing about thong underwear is how they fit with such intimacy that they become a part of you and the MeUndies Pouch Front Thong does exactly that.

My final positive expression for these guys is the price. So many men’s thongs are just crazy expensive. Even without the membership they are well priced given what is available to buy in the market today. Add on the membership pricing and they are very affordable. What I Don’t Like

I am in between sizes. Which isn’t the end of the world but it does clash with my taste buds from time to time. In a size small the pouch is nice and supportive and gives me exactly the fit I am looking for but the waistband is too tight. In a medium the waistband is perfect but the pouch is just a little too loose for my preference. I make up for this by simply pulling the thong up higher and then rolling the waisted band down twice. This allows the thong to fit both my waist preferences and my support preferences but does make it look different than the design they are intended to have. While that is completely aesthetic and not functional it does make my list of things I don’t like.

I have a number of MeUndies Front Pouch Thongs in my underwear drawer, both in solid colors and fun patterns but every once in a while a pair just falls apart. It is not consistent but if the stitching goes, it goes. All said in done it has happened just a few times but it was catastrophic and it happened immediately. I assumed it had to have been an issue with an entire batch of production but that has certainly been disappointing.

I wish the back strap was a bit thicker. I understand plenty of folks prefer a thinner strap even a string but for me, I prefer a wider strap. It just seems to be less intrusive when the strap is wider. From time to time I do notice that the thinner strap of the MeUnides Pouch Front Thong has become more intimate than it should and this can become uncomfortable especially if I’m going to be sitting for long periods of time.

Lastly, this is a cotton thong. This means it can soak up moisture and keep it for periods of time. If I am going to be outside in the heat or doing very strenuous activity for prolonged periods of time I don’t prefer them. I wish MeUndies offered the thong in their athletic materials as they offer for their other styles but for now, they only offer the one thong and I don’t like that.

Should you purchase the MeUndies Pouch Front Thong?

I think the value of the thong strictly from a price point makes this a yes. The thong certainly does what a men’s thong should do and the sheer variety of colors is amazing. I have over 6 pairs and wear them habitually because they are so comfortable.

Do I wish they were more inclusive by offering the front pouch thong in their match-building app? Do I wish they offered other materials and styles? Yes, of course but the product is still good enough to endorse in its current state especially when considering the pricepoint.

In the end, I still reach for and wear them every week and they are certainly a good thong for the price they are offering!
